Add Articles

Learn how to add Articles to Tacto via import file or manually.

Articles can be added to Tacto in two different ways. You reach both via the same button: click the "Articles" tab and then "Add new" at the top right. Clicking the button itself directly opens the manual creation of a single Article; the small arrow next to it opens a dropdown with the options "Create article" and "Import articles".

1. Bulk Article import via Excel, CSV or TSV file

Select "Import articles" in the dropdown. Then select the file to import and follow the next steps to integrate all Articles from your external file into Tacto without any problems.

  1. Sheet selection: select the right Excel sheet (if your document contains several sheets)

  2. Header selection: select the header row (if the list does not start in the first row)

  3. Column mapping: map the columns (so that the information is transferred correctly)

  4. Review import: check the entries and manually correct possible incorrect entries

As soon as you click "Complete import" at the end, all Articles have been successfully transferred to Tacto.

You will also find an upload template (as CSV or Excel) in the import window under Download template.

2. Manual Article creation in Tacto

Click the "Articles" tab and then "Add new" (or "Create article" in the dropdown). There you can enter all information about the Article manually, including individually configurable attributes.

An article number is assigned to exactly one Article, which makes it uniquely identifiable.
