Filter and sort Articles by drawing features

Learn how to filter and sort the Article overview by features extracted from drawings.

Overview

In the Article overview, you can filter by the features extracted from drawings – such as Manufacturing process, Material category, Tolerance, Material specification, Treatment type, Net weight or Net volume. Some of the extracted values – Manufacturing process, Material category and Tolerance – can also be shown as columns and used for sorting.

How it works

How to filter by drawing features

  1. Open the Article overview.

  2. Select a Manufacturing process (e.g. Sheet metal). The available filters adapt to your selection – for sheet metal, for example, filters for Sheet thickness and Bend count appear.

  3. Set the desired filters. The overview now only shows the matching Articles.

  4. Use the Drawing part filter to limit the overview to Articles with a stored drawing.

Show features as columns

  1. Open the column selection of the Article overview.

  2. Show the desired feature columns (Manufacturing process, Material category, Tolerance). They are marked with the Tacto Intelligence icon. Click the column header to sort by the feature.

Known limitations

  • Only customers with the Drawing Parts area see the features and filters.

  • Only values extracted from the drawing can be filtered. Articles without an evaluated drawing have no values.

  • Net weight, Net volume, Material specification and Treatment type are only available as filters in the Article overview. You can find them as columns in the List view under Articles → Drawing Parts.
