Overview
The Dashboard under Savings gives your procurement team a central, data-driven overview of the results of your savings Opportunities. It consists of three views: Procurement Results, Savings Impact and Cost avoidance. All figures come from the savings you have recorded in your Opportunities.
Prerequisites
Permission to view Opportunities (via your role).
Savings are recorded in your Opportunities.
How to open the Dashboard
In the sidebar, navigate to Savings.
Open Dashboard.
At the top, select the desired view: Procurement Results, Savings Impact or Cost avoidance.
"Procurement Results" view
Shows procurement results by completion date, i.e. when your team implemented the respective Opportunity.
Savings goal: realized savings in relation to the defined annual goal, as well as the volume that is still in progress.
Action required: number of open Findings with a direct link to the open Findings.
Implemented procurement results: bar chart of the savings realized each month, cumulative line and goal trajectory.
Implemented procurement results by owner: contribution per person, broken down by status.
Period: current calendar year or entire period. Cost avoidance can optionally be shown.
"Savings Impact" view
Shows savings by effective date, i.e. from when each saving becomes noticeable in your P&L. Each saving is spread over 12 months from "Effective from".
Savings over time, either by month or by year
"Show all opportunity states": additionally shows planned Opportunities (Idea, Planned, In Progress) as an estimate
Active Opportunities by status
Top 5 savings and Top 5 cost increases
"Cost avoidance" view
Shows prevented or reduced price increases, separately from price reductions.
Cost avoidance by status
Realized cost avoidance over time (monthly and cumulative)
Top 5 Opportunities for cost avoidance
Cost avoidance by owner
To learn how to record cost avoidance, see "Record and track savings Opportunities".
Where the figures come from
All values come from the savings recorded in Opportunities. If the new price is higher than the baseline price, the row counts as a cost increase and is deducted from the savings. The total displayed therefore corresponds to the net saving. You can also see cost increases separately in "Top 5 cost increases".
How to record cost increases
Open the relevant Opportunity.
In the savings, add a row with the new, higher price compared to the baseline price.
The cost increase is deducted from the savings, so that the net value with a direct P&L effect is displayed.
If you were able to prevent or mitigate a price increase, also record this as cost avoidance (the Supplier's demand in the same row).
How to configure the Dashboard in the Settings
Open Settings and then Savings.
In the "Savings dashboard" section, set your team's savings goal.
Use "Savings by user widget" to define whether savings should be displayed per responsible person.
Notifications and muting for Findings
Notification settings (Settings, Savings): define which people are notified about new Findings.
Channel (in-app or email): each person chooses this themselves under Settings, Account, Notifications.
Threshold per Finding type: for each Finding type, set a minimum amount in euros from which a Finding is generated, or switch off a Finding type entirely.
Individual muting for findings: hide a Finding type for specific Suppliers, Categories or Articles until a selected date.
Thresholds and muting are enabled per customer.
FAQ
Q: Why does the saving shown in the Dashboard differ from the value of a single Opportunity?
A: The Dashboard shows the net saving across all Opportunities; cost increases are deducted. In addition, in the "Savings Impact" view, each amount is spread over 12 months from "Effective from".
Q: What is the difference between "Procurement Results" and "Savings Impact"?
A: "Procurement Results" books by the completion date of the Opportunity (when your team was successful). "Savings Impact" books by the effective date (when the saving takes effect in the P&L).
