Working with tables & charts

Here you will learn how to set up, filter, group and export tables and charts in Analytics.

Overview

Tables and charts work according to the same principle in all reports.

Chart: metric and display

  1. Above the chart on the left, select the desired metric, e.g. Volume, Quantity, number of Orders or Delivery reliability. It is applied to the chart and the table.

  2. In the Categories, Suppliers, Articles and Other entities tabs, choose between Absolute Values / Relative Values (%) and Column chart / Stacked column chart.

For ratios and metrics such as Delivery reliability, Quantity reliability, Contract coverage or Open order value, a line chart is used automatically.

The chart reflects the entries selected in the table and the active filters. In stacked columns, entries that are not selected are grouped as "Other".

Export a chart

  1. At the top right of the chart, click "Download chart" or the three-dot menu.

  2. Select "Export chart as .png" (optionally with data values) or copy the chart to the clipboard.

Table: grouping

  • The primary grouping results from the selected tab (e.g. Categories, Suppliers, Articles or an entity from "Other entities").

  • Use "Add breakdown" to add a second grouping level, e.g. by Supplier, Category, Article, plant or buyer.

  • In Price Development, no free breakdown is possible; in the Articles tab, the Suppliers are shown expanded per Article.

Table: columns and sorting

  • Use the "Columns" menu to show or hide columns.

  • Click a column header to sort in ascending or descending order. Hold down the Shift key to combine multiple sorts.

Table: filter via right-click

  • Column header (metric columns only): set a value filter via "Filter" (Greater than, Greater than or equal to, Less than, Less than or equal to, Equals, Between). One filter is active per metric column.

  • Metric cell: filter by the cell value via "Apply as filter".

  • Cell of the grouping column (e.g. Supplier): "Apply as filter" or "Remove from filter". If several cells are selected, all values are applied.

Filters that have been set appear in the filter bar at the top.

Filter and group by Article properties

  1. Add an Article property via the filters and select the desired values.

  2. Select an Article property under "Other entities" → "Article properties" or via "Add breakdown" to break down the metrics.

This requires permission to view Article properties.

Drilldown

Right-click a row to open the underlying transactions, e.g. "Show orders", "Show invoices", "Show goods receipts" or "Show quantity contracts". Right-click a Supplier, Category or Article to go directly to the respective profile (e.g. "Open article profile").

Export a table

  1. Click the three dots at the top right above the table.

  2. Select "Export as Excel file (.xlsx)" or "Export as CSV file (.csv)".

With a breakdown, the export contains one row per combination of primary and secondary grouping. Hidden columns are not exported. The export is limited to the first 10,000 rows.

FAQ

Q: Can I export a complete page?

A: No, exporting a complete page is currently not possible. Alternatively, you can export charts as PNG or copy them to the clipboard, export tables as an Excel or CSV file, or use the browser's "Print" function or a screenshot.
