Create Requests & RFQs directly from Analytics

Here you will learn how to create Requests or RFQs with prefilled Suppliers and Articles directly from an Analytics table.

Overview

You can create Requests or RFQs directly from Analytics – without going through other modules. Articles and/or Suppliers are carried over automatically, without manual copying or re-selecting.

Typical use cases:

  • Request prices for several Articles for a Supplier negotiation

  • Price benchmarking for multiple-sourcing Articles

  • Request new payment terms from Suppliers with unfavorable terms

Prerequisites

  • Access to Analytics

  • Permission to create or edit Requests or RFQs

  • An Analytics table with Suppliers and/or Articles in the grouping or breakdown

How it works

  1. Open an Analytics table.

  2. Make sure that Supplier and/or Article is selected as the grouping or breakdown.

  3. Select the desired rows using the checkboxes.

  4. Open the three-dot menu in the table and select:

    • "Create new Request" or "Add to existing Request" (for Suppliers)

    • "Create RFQ" (for Articles and/or Suppliers)

You are taken directly to the respective module. All carried-over Articles and Suppliers are already prefilled, and the Request or RFQ can be completed, reviewed and sent as usual.

Permissions & access

The existing permissions for Analytics, Requests and RFQs apply. No new roles or rights are introduced.

Known limitations

  • The action is only available if Suppliers and/or Articles are part of the grouping.

  • Requests can only be created for Suppliers; Articles are only carried over into RFQs.
