Create and maintain Article attributes

Learn how to create individual Article attributes and edit their values.

Create individual Article attributes

To create individual attributes for your Article management, please follow these steps:

  1. In the settings, click the "Articles" tab.

  2. In the table toolbar, click "Create article attribute".

    • Name the attribute in the "Label" field in the languages configured for your organization; translations are suggested automatically (this name is also shown in the table overview).

    • The slug is filled in automatically.

  3. Click "Confirm".

The Article attribute has now been created successfully, and data can be added for all existing Articles manually or in bulk. Article attributes can currently only be created and imported in text format.

Edit the values of Article attributes

To change the value of an Article attribute for a specific Article, please follow these steps:

  1. Go to the "Articles" tab in the left sidebar.

  2. In the table, click the article number or the name of the Article to open it.

  3. Edit the desired value directly in the form.

  4. Click "Save".

The value of the selected Article attribute has been successfully changed and saved. For larger changes, you can of course also run a new Article import and automatically overwrite the existing values.

Note on REACH and RoHS information: Under Settings > Supply Sources, you can create your own property for REACH & RoHS information. Unlike Article attributes, several field types are already available here (e.g. yes/no, dropdown, number, date) – so a REACH/RoHS flag can, for example, be represented as a simple yes/no field instead of free text. It is then shown in the Article overview in the Supplier profile.

For a more in-depth, AI-based check of compliance evidence from Supplier responses, the Material Compliance module is also available. It is a separate feature and not a replacement for the manual supply source property.
