Process overview of the ESG risk analysis

Process of the ESG risk analysis in the Tacto App based on the table views.

Overview

The ESG risk analysis in the Tacto App runs through several table views: from the overview to mitigation and appropriateness to the supplier self-assessment. The aim is to manage and minimise risks effectively in line with the requirements of the LkSG. You derive preventive and remedial measures from the scores and self-assessments.

Note: Table views, Evaluation templates, score formulas and score thresholds are configured per customer. The names and thresholds (80/60) mentioned here describe Tacto's standard configuration – your configuration may differ.

Process steps of the ESG risk analysis

1. Overview

The "Overview" table view lists all suppliers with their current status in the ESG process and their risk status. It is for information only; no action is required here.

2. Mitigation and appropriateness

The "Mitigation and appropriateness" table view lists all suppliers with an abstract score below 80 (medium or high risk). For these suppliers, the score of each legal position is calculated automatically; the lowest value is the concrete score.

Process

  • Concrete score ≥ 80: The risk analysis for this supplier is complete.

  • Concrete score < 80: Carry out the "ESG risk analysis – Mitigation & appropriateness" Evaluation. It includes:

    • mitigation factors such as certificates

    • an appropriateness assessment

    • if necessary, a self-assessment that you request from the supplier

  • Depending on the information provided, the Evaluation can improve or worsen the concrete score.

Possible results

  • Score ≥ 80 after the Evaluation: The risk analysis is complete.

  • Score < 80 after the Evaluation: You request a self-assessment; the supplier appears in the "Supplier self-assessment" table view.

  • Risk analysis skipped: Analyses skipped with a justification are also considered complete.

3. Supplier self-assessment

The "Supplier self-assessment" table view shows all suppliers to whom an ESG self-assessment is to be sent. As soon as a supplier has responded, carry out the "ESG risk analysis – Supplier self-assessment" Evaluation. The answers are included directly in the concrete score.

Send the self-assessment

  1. In the "Supplier self-assessment" table view, select the supplier or several suppliers using the checkboxes.

  2. In the action bar, click Request → Create new Request.

  3. Select the appropriate forms for the affected legal positions.

  4. Select the desired contacts.

  5. Fill in the general information and click Publish request.

  6. As soon as the Responses submitted column shows 1/1, carry out the "Supplier self-assessment" Evaluation (see below).

Carry out the "Supplier self-assessment" Evaluation

  1. In the "Supplier self-assessment" table view, right-click the supplier and select Create new Evaluation.

  2. Under Select Evaluation template, choose the template "ESG risk analysis – Supplier self-assessment" and click Create Evaluation.

  3. The supplier's answers are visible directly in the Evaluation. Once all required fields are completed, click Conclude Evaluation. Depending on the answers, the score increases or decreases.

4. Next steps based on the concrete score

  • Score < 60 (high risk): The supplier appears in the "Suspicious suppliers" table view. Define measures there.

  • Score 60–80 (medium risk): The supplier appears in the "Suspicious suppliers" table view. Define preventive measures.

  • Score ≥ 80 (low risk): The risk analysis for this supplier is complete.
