Automatic data export in InforLN (Solution

Tacto delivers the Infor LN connection as a ready-to-use Solution package. It contains the session (export logic for suppliers, items, purchase orders, goods receipts, invoices, quantity contracts, and currency rates) and the frontend for filters. Your IT first imports the Solution package into the test system, validates and adjusts the filters there, and then transfers the Solution to the production system via the Distributor area.

Prerequisites

• You have received the Tacto Infor LN Solution package from your Tacto contact (delivered as a Solution file, typically in zip/exp format).

• You have access to both the test system and the production system in Infor LN, as well as to the VRC (Version Control area) and the Distributor area (software distribution).

• You have the permission to import Solutions as a Recipient and to redistribute them via the Distributor.

• If you operate multiple companies in Infor LN, you have agreed with Tacto which companies should be included in the export.

How to install and transfer the Solution

  1. Open the VRC (Version Control area) in your test system and import the Tacto Infor LN Solution there as a Recipient.

Tools > Application Development > Product Maintenance > Recipient > Process Solution (ATTENTION: the VRC can vary depending on the InforLN Version)

  2. Activate the Solution in the test system and open the filter frontend. Configure the filters that are relevant for you (e.g. companies, order date range, item filter to purchase items)

  3. Run a test export with the Solution and review the results together with Tacto: data completeness, plausibility of values, and behavior of the filters. Adjust the filters as needed and rerun the export.

  4. Once the Solution produces the expected data set in the test system, export it again via the Distributor area of the test system.

  5. Import the exported Solution into your production system in the same way: import it as a Recipient in the VRC and activate it.

  6. Trigger the first full export in the production system and hand the data over via the data pipeline agreed with Tacto (e.g. SFTP or Blob Storage). Please let Tacto know once the first production run has completed successfully.
